Lesson Learned When I was Like an Open Wound

Imahe
Master your feelings. Manage your emotions. Conceal your intentions. I’ve been telling all these phrases to myself a lot more often now than before. I don’t know. Things change, people change. Something must have brought me into this whole new perspective now…I have always been known to be transparent about how I feel on most of the things.. You’ll know if I’m having a good day when you see me humming or singing a song even if I cannot carry a tune. You’ll know I’m happy when you see me laughing with mouth wide open like I’m about to bite McDonald’s super burger! A not so close colleague back in my first working station once posted on my FB wall about how she missed having me around in school, the possitive approach that I instill into my work mates, the culture of happiness and openness that I create whenever I’m with a group and how I made her forget about all her problems at home even for a short while and just laugh with the present... Nostalgic. That’s how I always describe it. ...

Flashback: The Day I Turned 30

Imahe
November 28, 2013. I never felt so scared in my life.  I would be a year older and it was not just any year, it was my 30th birthday.  Yes the number 3.  I don't know but I wasn't excited.  I was stressed, I know it was just a number but I was so worried. Perhaps, I got scared getting old, seemed like I was running out of time and I have not achieved a lot, worse I haven't figured out what I really wanted.  I felt the pressure, knowing my brothers and my sister had their plans laid out, my friends living MY dream and they were good at it.  " But then again, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.  While you are wishing to be someone else, someone out there is wishing to be you.  So just love life and count your blessings"    So I faced that day bravely as I had less than 24 hours to celebrate and bade 29 goodbye. I invited some friends who are young at heart and my teachers in elementary now my co-teachers, each h...

I'VE ONCE DAYDREAMED, NOW I'M LIVING W/ MY BUCKETLIST

Imahe
Earlier in life, I never had a bucket list. In fact, I didn’t even know what a bucket list was until that movie came out. I thought I had all the time in world to do whatever I wanted, and that I’d just take life as it comes. Until lately. No, I’m not dying. But lately I’ve ventured into some things that I never thought I’d be doing, such as rock climbing, seaside camping, and horror booth-ing. So when people ask what possessed me to do such crazy things “at my age” I came up with the pat answer of “it’s on my bucket list.” So naturally,  I had to come up with a few more things, or the bucket list would just be a bucket.  Because of curiosity, I researched the purpose of having a bucket list, and here it is...(shortened details) Why do you need a bucket list? A bucket list serves as a life goal list or a guide for focusing on your dreams. When you don’t have a life goal list it is far too easy to spend all your time, energy and money doing things that really aren’t impor...

I'm "IN" to a Magical Outlet

I am not an eloquent writer nor a celebrity. I write simply because I channel my thoughts through words. Writing brings you beyond your dreams, beyond ordinary, and allows you to express things in a creative way.  It can lead you somewhere far. Thus, a magical outlet. My blogs will serve as my way of escape... ..I tend to act like a teenager sometimes...despite me being 30...Any blog I write serves as an outlet where I could yell out. My blogs reveals a part of me, that are not known to some friends...this is something I called 'place' where to put myself...in times of hesitation and not being able to unfold my thoughts.... I'm in awe of the wonders of the universe, curious about pretty much everything, and passionate about life, relationships, and creativity.

Maleficent movie review

The synopsis contains information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title. Synopsis: The film opens with the voice-over narrator (Janet McTeer) stating that you may have heard this story about 'Sleeping Beauty' before, but says you may remember it differently. As it begins, there were two rival kingdoms. The first was the human kingdom, ruled by a greedy and power-hungry king, while the second kingdom, the Moors, was peaceful and tranquil, home to a number of delicate and gentle creatures. Sitting in a tree is a young fairy girl - Maleficent (Isobelle Molloy). She is playing with dolls until she hears a noise. A branch on the tree has snapped, and she wraps her hands around it to magically fix it. She then spreads her large wings and takes flight across the land, greeting all the other creatures she sees. She comes across the three pixies - Knotgrass (Imelda Staunton), Flittle (Lesley M...

My Insights During the Mass Training of Teachers on Child Protection Policy

Imahe
(Just want to share here some of my insights during our INSET training) Topic: Incidence of Violence (Case Analysis) There is a great concern about the incidence of violent behavior among children and adolescents. This complex and troubling issue needs to be carefully understood by parents, teachers, and other adults. Violent behavior in a child at any age always needs to be taken seriously. It should not be quickly dismissed as "just a phase they're going through!" Violent behavior in children and adolescents can include a wide range of behaviors: explosive   temper tantrums, physical aggression, fighting, threats or attempts to hurt others. There can be some ways that we can do to help a child that shows a violent behavior and we should not tolerate it. Whenever a parent or other adult is concerned, they should immediately arrange for a comprehensive evaluation by a qualified mental health professional. Early treatment by a professional can often help. In a...

Lo and Behold, It’s my SEMBREAK!

Imahe
Hello dear readers! It has been a while since I last blogged.  Before our sembreak have commenced, I've told myself, "Yes, I'll finally have a free, relaxing weekend and weekdays to catch up on some blogging and do some important other things. Also, I want to do some stuff which I can enjoy and I've expected to have a break, to really have a full semestral break away from a busy life, from checking paper works, making forms and others, because I know this is such a good time for rest and relaxation in our house or any place I like. It is also a time to reduce my stress and recharge my batteries". But unfortunately, my longings just had  gone temporarily, because we had our long-days-week INSET training. I knew already that we will have a training, but it turn out of the blue that the training will be done for 5 days. So, literally, I have no sembreak! However, I didn't take it as a misconception because during the latter days, I became excited for it. Happil...
