FUNTASTIC BERsummer 2014: Trippin' Round South Cebu

                        For the very first time, the GIRL SCOUT-SSC leaders in the South District went on a trip to some famous places in Southern, Cebu and had their weekending vacation last Nov.21-23, 2014 (we're definitely the luckiest this time of days because we had a long weekend relaxation, plus a very good weather:-)) This rarely happens...when you are w/ different people from different stations, especially when some of us are new and haven't acquainted w/ each other, but because of this trip, because we have the same passion and cravings (just as I am), and because we're always on the go for some fun and adventure, we able to collide w/ each other**,)hahaha. 
                       The concept was just conceived a couple of months ago and we're just so thankful that it came to reality. The itinerary was purely jam-packed w/ incredible experience...organized by our Ms.Chastity (Mam Mengie) From day 1- day3, all our trips were blessed by God and we're so much thankful. Each trip was sealed with fun, laughter, surprises, enjoyment, and wonderful experience w/ great people. 

                        So, here are some of the places we've been to when we had our round south cebu trip:

 * The Ranch Resort, Toledo City, Cebu
                            
                       Our first itinerary in our 3-day trip. The resort is located in Laguna Road Brgy. Bato, Toledo City.  It's a very short travel via multicab or tricycle from Toledo City proper, particularly near the church of St. John of Sahagun . It's not hard to locate the resort since almost everyone in the place knows how to get there. It was my first time when we went there last November, 2014. Of course I find their place awesome and peaceful. They have nice rooms, pool, and farm. Relaxing ambiance! It was worth the long trip, swimming, strolling, and horse-back riding.


* Badian and Virgin Island at Badian, Cebu
                        Our 2nd itinerary was an impulse escapade at Badian Island & Virgin Island located in the municipality of Badian. During our recent sojourn in Badian, we dedicated our 2nd day to island hopping & boating. We discovered Badian has unique attractions aside from beaches. It's an alluring place. Island boating was a fun activity for us. Never mind getting tanned. We Just enjoyed the view and conquered fear during our boating day amid the drooping eyes. Hopping around, playing w/ waves and sand, eating and picnicking in the seashores were the best grandest time under the sun.








* Mainit Spring and Montaneza Falls
                                I had  climbed...glided..,swum..,and made some incredible activities at Montaneza Falls & Mainit Spring located at Malabuyoc, Cebu. It was a fine sunny day when we took our 3rd itinerary. That hidden falls, I will forever treasure that moment...I had made it on top..conquered my fear, dared to step on slippery pathways, climbed the steepy rock formations, entered the small wholes of boulders & challenge the adventurous ME. It was indeed, a worthwhile activity!And this goes for a multiple thumbs-up for newly embarked adventure!-ehihi-


 * Whale Shark "Butanding" Encounter in Oslob, Cebu
                                    This day trip to Oslob Cebu was our 4th itinerary during our trip to Southern Cebu & it’s one of the most memorable trips I have ever had. Its not the place nor the beach or the food, its the whale shark themselves. Yes, as in ‘butanding’!Oh my! Indeed so gentle and sooooo big. Watching these gentle giants was awesome, yes giants as there were 4 swimming around our boat. There’s just a unique experience to have seen God's wonderful creation—gliding & seemingly dancing! And it’s also incredible to witness the relationship formed between these creatures and the fishermen which was evident with the way they interacted with each other. It was a surreal experience and I’m glad to have done this before the year 2014 ended.


* Kawasan Falls, Badian Cebu

                                                   This itinerary was just a side trip for us since Kawasan falls is just located across our lodging house of where we stayed, so there was no problem in going there. It was rather our 5th itinerary where we just trek for 15-20 minutes from the Badian road until we reached the main falls. I'm not anymore a newbie to this place since I'd gone here for several times. I knew already how beautiful and enchanting Kawasan is and how tourists would flocked and took some diving activities here not just swimming. No doubt, of course, when one has to spend vacation in Badian, there's no other great place to stay but Kawasan falls! 


* Side Trip at Santander, Cebu

                             Who can ever resist to take a snapshot of the beauty of Santander without dropping by its famous landmarks? Yes, we just dropped by here in order to take some pictures of the famous landmarks. Despite the very hot weather, we were able to take selfies and groufies. Santander is actually located at the southernmost tip of Cebu province, well-known for its aquamarine beaches, very quiet and quaint town.



                               It's great to be with all of them..We've seen our other sides..the real us when out from work...the true person in us.we laughed, we giggled, we played, we ate our favorites..and we just had fun..To my co-SSC, thank you so much for the company, for the food we shared, and for being my tripmates, hehehe!.it was a blast..we just define friendship! More trips for us!!!

Camotes Island: Our Trip to the Lost Horizon of the South

Summer is not just the time to go to places to relax, unwind and soul searching. You can have all the days you want, all the time you need and all the places to visit. Since I was in college, I always wanted to visit some bigger islands here in Cebu. Human combustion isn’t real. At least, that’s what my science professors in college and high school said. Yet, somehow, I felt like I was on the verge of bursting into flames as the dry season was about to officially kickoff. With Metro Cebu heating up environmentally and politically, I had a craving for a refreshing escapade to get away from the hot spell. And, as I was going through a multitude of options, a beautiful idea flashed into my mind. Why not take a plunge at the famous beaches and trendy places in Camotes Island here in Cebu? The Cafe Hopper!

Apart from being workaholic person, I also set my another businesses into pleasures which I'm always counting on. Because I believe some things should not be taken for granted for those have been around for a long time.  What I'm talking about actually are the simple pleasures that also gives meaning to life. And some of these might be new for me because it's more indulging, like my newest passion, "photography." But recently, I'm into hops and fun! Particularly in a place called Cafe.. So, yes, I'm now literally called a cafe hopper even if I'm too occupied with work-related activities.                       Every adventure connoisseur needs a little spontaneity in their getaways. In the age of Facebook, Instagram and Google, we rarely take a hike for a simple exploration adventure.
