Passion for Travelling
I always wanted to travel. When I was young, every time I see a plane about to land in the airport, it would somehow pass just above our house. And I'd always look up, wondering how it feels like to be on that plane, and how it looks like down from where I stood. I was in elementary that time and many years later, I experienced my first ride on a plane. I was 26 when it happened. It took a really long time to happen but never mind, at least it did happen.
Among the things that I remembered when I first rode in a plane was that I was nervous the entire trip from Mactan, Cebu to Manila. I think anyone would be if it's their first time. I keep swallowing my saliva and moving my jaws up and down just to avoid that weird thing that happens to your ear. Just before the plane landed, I got air-sick. Haha! And I hated it, not the trip but the sickening feeling I felt when we landed on the airport and mind you, I was still sick when I got to a hotel. But despite this, I was really happy.
Being on that plane that time ignited within me my passion for travelling. I have always wanted to explore as many places as I can. When I was up there, I looked down and noticed the different islands we passed by and I could only wonder how beautiful it would be to visit those places, swim in the sea, climb the mountains, meet different people, try their delicacies, and learn their customs.
As I became more mature now, I've realized how beautiful life is when you travel. Also, I believed that each journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles. That's why I'm always with them when I go to some places.
All things are possible. I thought that first plane ride that I had would only just happen once, but because of my strong will, I was able to wander anywhere in the phils. and even outside the country. To be proudly mentioned, I've been to places where some once came out in my dreams like Manila, Baguio, and Boracay. I can't imagine how i brought myself to some places like Singapore, Camiguin, Dumaguete, Bohol, Sagada, Benguet, Mountain Province, Banaue, Iloilo, Aklan, Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental and a lot more, when at that time I was kinda ignorant and a shy type. Well, I was really blessed by God, and I'M SO SO THANKFUL. It truly proves how I enjoyed myself to the fullest! Of course, I'm still wanting more fun and trips while still alive and kickin' (tehehe).
This year, I have big plans for me and Kenn (my boyfriend). I want us to travel to the beautiful places in the Philippines since he didn't have more experience than me. Of course, first step would have to be anywhere in Cebu, where it's only near to our hometown(Lapu-Lapu and Cordova). We just had our Catmon trip earlier this May and the experience was just so incredible. I will be talking about this trip in the next posts. Ciao! ^__^
