Quick Escape & Hike: Budlaan Untold Tales

Imahe
When you know people who are passionate and driven to hiking and climbing, there's no other way out but say yes. This seemed to be the cause of why my newbie bukid buddy had to be with me on the journey to Budlaan River Trekking one fine, quite sunny day of November 12. We don't really planned it but perhaps, a day off and a break from all the stresses at work could be a common reason why she needed to be out from the metropolis. Apparently, the itinerary went well even though we just communicated through chat a night before that day.  Actually, it was one of my goal on my birthmonth (to finally pursue someone to get out from the reality) harharhar. :D My goal was to trek again with someone I could share with my experiences or the life I had encountered in the boondocks. Thankfully, it was memorable though we don't have much time. Very thankful also because the weather was nice and favorable to us. We were panting, our breaths uneven, maybe because we lack e...

HAPPY TEACHER'S MONTH

Imahe
Teachers are an important and an integral part in the journey of my life. I could vividly remember how I have been in the initial stage of my life and I proudly could see the vast difference in my life as of now. The credit goes to all of my teachers of the past. I know this short but heartiest gratitude of mine would not be able to reach to all of teachers of mine yet I wish all of you "HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY" in advance. Teachers' Day is celebrated whole over the world. It is also celebrated in our country to pay a   tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of students. Celebration of Teacher's Day is fairly popular in the Philippines, whereby I join my students in wishing the teachers all over the world "the most Happiest Teachers' Day." I am actually proud to be what I am today. I would not have been in this stage being molded from my undergra...

Things You Will Learn In Every Mountain Climbing

Imahe
“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”―  Haruki Murakami Why do you climb mountains? Be the question I often received and answered them with a question “Why doesn’t you?” I’m not being a sarcastic. I just want them to know that there are no enough words to describe how it feels like climbing a mountain and to be with the mountain. One thing I am sure of, every mountain will teach us something. Experience This is one of the best things we will learn. Nothing becomes real to climbing mountains. It is experienced. To climb, we will experience that it’s not all about fighting the battles between life. It will teach us and helps us to sort out the most important things on earth . Test Your Limit It’s lik...

Because You Only Live Once!

Imahe
You only live once-- heavily cliched, but you stand by it! You only live in the moment. You are not fond of thinking or worrying about the future, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. You seize the day and am always on the lookout for things YOU can do right now because life is uncertain. YOU are not ashamed to say that YOU're afraid of death; but YOU're even more terrified of having regrets over things YOU could have done. Climbing rocks and running trails, meeting and learning experiences from various people, exploring and being lost to unknown places with people I love the most have been making me the happiest person and I don't think they're all a waste of time. If it makes you happy, then focus for it. Spend more time with people who are good for your mental health and don't let toxic people teach you what they want you to be.

DUMAGUETE - SIQUIJOR: A Place Where Paranormal Phenomena Abound

Imahe
Everyone knows what Siquijor is – or so everyone says. It is known as the mystic Land of Fire (Isla del Fuego) – and as the popular tales say – it’s a remote island where paranormal phenomena abound . According to old stories, the island of Siquijor used to be illuminated at night with swarms of fireflies. Another version says  this island rose out of the ocean , amidst thunder and lightning, hence the monicker. Siquijor is more than just witchcraft, love potions, and voodoo dolls! Siquijor offers great beaches, historical churches and amazing waterfalls! And these had triggered me and my friends (Ailyn, & Rubejie) to explore this mystical island last mid-summer of May, 2016.  It was during that time that we found ourselves not yet too busy with our respective working places and of course to spend time also with our summer vacation together. It was a just a 2-day quick escape/vacation where we stayed at Diamond de Siquijor Beach House. This staycation we had ...
