Introspection on life choices

I dare not call myself a true adventurer or a traveler, although in an alternate life I MIGHT wish I were. I think a truly traveled life means a life committed to not knowing a singular home but infinite options of momentary harbor; days measured not by hours but only by sunsets; relationships thriving despite the distance but never assured of the long term endurance...because to me, the world of a traveler is a myriad of endless possibilities of destinations to explore that there can never be time ,apart from it, for a full life in one place...

As such, I'm just nothing compared to those window-dressed tourists.  Because even as wanderlust undoubtedly runs thru my veins, my need for a life that thrives on quality & quantity time spent, relationships that flourish with the stability of consistent day to days, fulfillment from accomplishments earned thru committed long term efforts, runs much stronger in me. Life is really never meant to give us everything we want. I believe that the beauty of our days lie in the choices that we make knowing what we had to give up to have it. And so we learn to pick our battles, make the choices that are dearest to our hearts & then live our days with gratefulness because although we didn't get all we want, we made, fought & stood by our choices based on what we need & most importantly, love most.

Making our choices can be arduous but whatever our circumstance, wherever life takes us, however way we should choose, I find that our hearts often know not only what it desires but also what we need, if we just hush our thoughts long enough to hear it...
