The Humble and Sincere Pope, #PopeFrancis

Imahe
He has always amazed me ever since he became Pope. I was happy, first and foremost, when I've heard from the news that he's traveling on an Asian Trip, first from Sri Lanka then to our native nation, the Philippines on January 15-19. So, I was then a bit excited for the papal visit even though I could only see him on T.V. and could not reach him personally.  Pope Francis' mission to the Philippines was to give new hope for the Filipino people and to inspire them to have more faith in God, even more deeply. Especially to all the Yolanda survivors in Tacloban and Palo, Leyte, who have been much affected with the typhoon a year ago. I knew he would make a difference on the Church’s message, and he did, right from the very start up until now. He has invited all of us to reexamine our faiths and what role it is playing exactly in our lives today. Having seen him on t.v. during his sojourn in our country for 5 days, I admit I was a bit apprehensive on the Pope’s visi...

The Secret of Success

Imahe
We are all born to succeed. We must achieve something great in the limited time that we call life.. This is our duty - a duty that every man or woman should bear. But what should we do in order to achieve success? If you want to be successful in your work, you must follow this rule: focus on only one thing at a time. Indeed, this is a rule for anybody to follow. Some people are too ambitious. They want to do this and they want to do that. They want to do many things at one time, with the result that they accomplish nothing at all. Others are too idle. They do not know the value of time and they always put off until tomorrow what they should do today. They often say that they will do something by and keep putting off things until they cannot be done anymore. Being successful doesn't require one to be exceptionally talented. It is just a matter of attitude. Faith in your abilities, determination to prove something to yourself and the world and the willingnes...

In Awe of the Holidays

Imahe
Emotion is at the heart of the holidays. Looking through the Christmas presents and greetings from facebook I have received thus far this year, I am struck by references to “joy,” “peace,” “love,” “cheer,” and “merriness.” My holiday moments will not be more splendid  without spending it with my loved ones especially on New Year's Day. The main highlights were hanging out together with Kenn, my Paopao!! “Another fresh new year is here . . . Another year to live! To banish worry, doubt, and fear, To love and laugh and give! This bright new year is given me To live each day with zest . . . To daily grow and try to be My highest and my best! I have the opportunity Once more to right some wrongs, To pray for peace, to plant a tree, And sing more joyful songs!” Wishing more good times and more abundance for the Year 2015!!! Thanks Lord for a very blissful year!!!

New Year Resolutions

Imahe
"The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals." Melody Beattie Hola, 2015! How great You are, OH LORD to fold another spectacular year! This is it!! Another 365 has come and another chapter in life waiting to be written. So many things could happen in twelve months and more things could change. We get older, we get wiser. So cheers to the year past and a warm embrace for this year.  Most people have resolutions, vast majority could be done simply.  We make New Year Resolutions by pledging to become better functioning human beings through our declarations to change our actions and lifestyle for the better.  As we enter a new year, it is out with the old and in with the new. So, as for my New Year's Resolutions this year, since I have some promises that were never kept and were undone during the past year and since  I'm too obsessive about getting...

2014-2015 Reflections

Imahe
2014 has been a great year for me. Wonderful things have happened in my life including little improvements of my work abilities. I got inspired (and will always be) because of my family and God is always there. They gave me everything I need in order to keep moving forward. They will always continue to inspire me in the years to come. Because of that, so thankful to God, all glory and honor will forever be for HIM. 2014 was my most colorful year yet, and I thank God for it. As much as it was difficult, it also played a huge part in molding me as a person. Also, it was a year of blessings and good realizations. We always come out stronger, and it goes to show that we will never be forsaken and that things always happen for the best of reasons. Today, we look past all of that, but we must still continue to treasure every bit of it. I'm looking forward for the new year (2015)! Facing the new year with high hopes and strong faith.  "I lift everything up to You, Lord!...

Fresh Start

Imahe
“This is the new year, the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control. Or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before, & make 2015 as the year that you elevate from where you are & soar high. Make it happen!”  Happy New Year!!   For me, New Year means, new beginning, time for second chances in life and making up for the wrong-doings. 2014 -exactly my year and I hope 2015 will be as great as 2014! :> Here's to 2014.  To all the pain to all of the disasters & heart breaks. To all tears & to all of the sicknesses & things that went wrong. To all of the fails & booze... To all of the bullies & all of the money we don't have. To all the embarrassing moments. To all of the let downs & things that didn't make us happy. And here's to 2015.   To all of the make ups, happiness, cures, successes, love & dreams. To all of the new people we meet. To all of the strang...
