Life Lessons

Imahe
A few years back and up until now, I've already heard some news of some people who died young unexpectedly. Some of them came from different personalities- may it be a student, teenager, or a young professional or a celebrity...no one really is an exception. For most of us, we can't really deny that whatever the cause of death of some of these people even if we're not related to them, we still have a feeling of sympathy for them. That their lives are too short for it to happen. I, personally, can say that whenever I heard some news like a celebrity who just died young, I'll really be saddened, because it can brought me into life's lesson. Added to these celebrity who died unexpectedly (last Saturday night) was the comediene artist, Chocoleit. Because of what had happened to him, I really came into some realizations. If I haven't grown up, I wouldn't have realized the truth behind the quote, "Life is too short". Back in the childhood days, 7...

Say “NO” to these 34 Things for a Happier 2019

Imahe
A lot of people think happiness is about saying “yes” to the right stuff. Well, that’s one side of a coin. There are many things we say “yes” to that we really should be saying “no” to. “I know the power of saying yes to everything in the beginning but at some point it has to stop. You have to get clear on where you are going, then start saying no to anything that isn’t that. You may lose opportunities/people along the way, but you’ll be okay with that.” For a happier 2019, try saying “no” to the following things: Personality 1. Mediocrity You’re almost always better than you think you are. “I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocracy” — boldomatic.com 2. Procrastination Stop thinking, start doing. “It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.” — Marcus Aurelius 3. Talking Shit About Yourself Be positive. Don’t seek loathing, seek improvement. “Just remember; someone loves everything you hate about yoursel...

Inspirational Message: Never Compare Yourself with Others

Imahe
Life is always challenging. It's not just because you have to give yourself and your family a decent meal three times a day or because you ha ve to be consistent with paying your bills every month or keep up with the demands of the society as an adult and as professional but because people around you always have an expectation from you-- an expectation to perform, to excel, to be where you should be according to your course, to be successful, to follow your path. The society has a set of standards and goals for you. And when you fail to achieve them, that's when real internal struggles come in. Life is indeed challenging and there are a lot of factors that contribute to that. In order to survive, you've got to get a good grip on yourself, to never feel pressured, to never feel small, and to never feel like a failure. Have you ever experienced scrolling through your Facebook timeline or Instagram feed and  see where your colleagues are at or where they have bee...

Always Yearning to Travel

Imahe
I love to travel because it gives a sense of adventure and freedom. A time when I'm inspired to seek new adventures, to explore, to make new memories of fun at the beach, to discover the simple joys of nature, and everything around me, get away from "normal"life, experience other cultures, to get to know places I wish to wander. Sometimes the best travel companion you can have is yourself. Solo travel is an incredible experience and one that every backpacker should experience at least once in their lifetime. I don't always travel solo nowadays but I do still occasionally and majority of my long term and short term trips over the last adventures or so have been solo ones. I absolutely love it. Don't get me wrong, travelling with a partner or a friend can be a great experience too, but you shouldn't dismiss the idea of travel just because you have no one to go with. Travelling solo is absolutely awesome, and why you should do it if you get the chanc...

You are doing all that you can. Balancing life and everything else in between. Give yourself credit for all that you do. You are resilient and strong. You are dedicated and determined. Even those days that seem like a setback are only a step up from where you used to be.

Alicia Hills: The Gleaming Rolling Hills of Alicia, Bohol

Imahe
Every adventure connoisseur needs a little spontaneity in their getaways. In the age of Facebook, Instagram and Google, we rarely take a hike for a simple exploration adventure. Nowadays, everything is researched, planned and even rehearsed. Of course, we all know the thrill of hiking somewhere awe-inspiring is still there. But, wouldn’t it be better or more exciting if your escapade started the moment you chase the 5:00 a.m. boat trip to Bohol? Wouldn’t it be more rewarding and fulfilling to go somewhere barely touched by tourists like Alicia Panoramic Hills? Alicia Town Proper                              And, I get it – most of us don’t like the feeling of uncertainty. We are all scared of exploring the unknown and not having a clue on what’s going to happen. We are afraid that things will not go as expected or t...

WHO AM I

Imahe
Never let other people define who you are. It's actually you who create the best definition of who you really are. No clerical errors because you know exactly what makes the whole of you.
